Mar 17, 2023
FREYR Battery (“FREYR”), a developer of clean, next-generation battery cell production capacity, is proud to announce that the company’s management system has been certified by DNV, one of the world’s leading certification, assurance, and risk management providers.
FREYR is promoting a “safety-first” mindset as a baseline for all activities, and this internationally recognized certification is important in ensuring an efficient and effective organization keeping customers and stakeholders at the heart of the business and deliveries.
“With these certificates, FREYR is demonstrating to our employees, customers and other stakeholders that we have a strong commitment to continuous performance and quality improvement, while safeguarding health and safety of our employees, partners, and the environment in the communities in which we operate,” says Jan Arve Haugan, Chief Operating Officer, FREYR.
FREYR has been certified according to the internationally recognized standards for Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001). This means that the company’s current activities are complying with the requirements for these standards, which will help the company manage risks, ensure compliance, and support greater sustainability throughout the organization and the value chain.
“We are maturing as a company and are continuously developing the quality, safety and security of our operations that will start at our Customer Qualification Plant in Mo i Rana next week. We are both proud and very pleased to be certified by a world leading provider such as DNV, and these certifications arrive at the perfect time, making us ready to ramp up the SemiSolidTM battery production,” says Mats Deleryd, SVP Corporate Quality, Safety & Security Management.
The independent, third-party audit covered site visits to FREYR’s offices at Lysaker, and Mo i Rana where the company’s Customer Qualification Plant and Giga Arctic factory are being developed. DNV will also in the coming years assure the company’s global operations through management system certification and training for FREYR’s potential growth.
